It's a way for local families to help inbound families find legitimate rentals in the area. Basically, the group asks members to post pictures of for rent signs in their neighborhoods along with some location information. A locally assigned ambassador regulates the page and posts weekly updates on rental properties listed in the multiple listing system (a real estate tool).

Ahh gotcha. I think that in today's day and age that just a cursory search of the internet would give you the same, or better, information.

True, but I see utility in this. There are so many false advertisements out there. Just today one of the local spouses pages was posting about a solicitation call she received.

As both a dependent and active duty member, use your command sponsorship program... Get to know the people there! The Army has had that system in place since I was a kid (well over 40 years). Every where we went, we had someone meet us or knew us, but ASA/INSCOM was different back then... Just saying, it’s alreafy in place, why re-create the wheel folks?!?!?

I've never heard of such an animal. but it sounds like it could be useful. I'm getting ready to PCS again and this would come in handy
