I'm a novice webmaster. I have built five sites, including my Business site: HTTP://http://www.Acrecona.com. I used an old website builder, Microsoft Expression software

All my websites allow me to put in what I call "Metafile" (I think it's the same as the SEO). The metafile contains a list of names and words that Search Engines, i.e., this site, they look for Acrecona, Safety, Accident, Reconstruction, consultant, etc.

Type in Acrecona in Google or another search engine and see. I get people trying to sell me that they can make me #1 in a search engine. I ask if they are by their PC and ask them to type in Acrecona. They hang up!

Many of the services I provide live or die by search engine rankings. The big thing everyone needs to be aware of is the search algorithms are constantly changing. For example, you have to pay attention to every new instance that Google runs or risk becoming irrelevant.

It depends how your site was built, whether it's a domain or subdomain and so forth. For WordPress, there's plenty of material on iThemes. Search on SEO on google and read their webmaster FAQ. SEO is an ongoing process, there's tricks to keep the search engines happy - twitter - blog - Facebook etc., and make sure your website is mobile friendly.

MSgt Richard Rountree - I've learned a lot about SEO since last commenting on this thread. Your comment is still relevant. Google has an SEO guide but best practices for improving SEO for websites and any content vary between every website type (app, CMS, etc.), content type (written, audio, video), and brand.

Having an SSL certificate (for HTTPS), creating a search engine schemas, and researching related keywords and search engine results for your brand, industry, and demographic area are all ways to improve SEO.

Most popular website CMSs and content platforms have some type of SEO guide. Here's Google's: https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/7451184

I am also looking for a reliable Seo agency. My site has disappeared from the field of view of Google search queries. I can't figure out what this is about. Probably really very complex algorithms have become available in Google. How do you feel about such a way of promotion as link building? Will it help to do Seo optimization in Google?

Google spearheads SEO best practices, so the guide above, the one in the initial post, and one specific to your website builder will give you a solid foundation. Much of the other stuff is specific to your goals and target audience.
