just looking for clarification here. i am unable to find any regulations on what is supposed/allowed to wear.

i have seen many different things, I.E. medals instead of ribbons, bow tie instead of standard neck tie, garrison cap instead of beret.

is there a specific regulation that i am supposed to follow?
i really want to get this right, as i have always held the uniform in very high regard and believe in its proper wear at all times no matter the occasion.

thanks in advance!

I've never heard of a reg and have seen pictures of people in all variations. It's your wedding. Do what looks good for your memories.

Congratulations SSG (Join to see)!

Reference included at the link below - it will answer all your question, just gotta dig into it a little. My suggestion is to reach out to your Squad Leader/Platoon SGT/Food Services NCOIC - they will be able to answer your questions as well as inspect your uniform once you have it set up.

SPC (Join to see) while the AR 670-1 will answer most of your questions, you may have to go into the DA Pam 670-1 as well, since the AR was split in half a few years ago. It's also on the Army Pubs website.

My husband and I were married at the chapel at Ft Eustis. All the men wearing dress blues wore the saucer cap and ribbons. The command SMG who walked me down the isle, the best man and my husband. If getting married on post check with local command Of course this was a million years ago.

This article is of my interest because it is related to the dress blues for weddings but to my own experience I can say confidently that the the oline wedding solution shop AW creating is best. This firm have best and comfortable fabric. So you can try on https://www.awbridal.com/ to know more about this production. I think wedding is a most important occasion of life so you choose best.

AR670-1 and DA Pam 670-1. If the event is before 1800, four in hand neck tie. Beret or Service cap is appropriate. After 1800, no head gear is required and now ties.

Full sized medals are authorized. since you are inviting guests, you set the uniform.

You are authorized, CSM Uhlig has it correct. You are wise for wanting to do it right. While you would not face punishment you might face embarrassment. Congratulations, and thank you for your service.

Is your wedding semi-formal, black tie, white tie, or other? That drives what type of uniform you should wear.
