WHO IS THE BEST LEADER, MANAGER, OR COMMANDER YOU EVER WORKED FOR?
Mine was my Mentor/Commander (RET) Colonel John P. Edwards. He was my Commander at the 357th Aviation Detachment, SHAPE, Belgium and inspired me to become an officer and finish college, and reach for the STARS.

Capt. (0-6 in Navy language) William L. Bohannan, his nick name was "brass balls" Bohannan, which tells the story.

Sgt William Straub Jr.
I was a young Airman. I would have followed TSgt Slaughter through the gates of Hell, knowing we would make it back. I trusted and respected this man more than anyone I met in the Air Force. Another was General John Ryan, Air Force Chief of Staff. He came to NKP and visiting a site I was guarding. He asked where I was from, did I need anything, any suggestions or complaints. And had one of his staff officers go and get a coffee for me. Two men from opposites ends of the ranking levels. Both with more class in the finger tips than most of our leaders in the military and White House.

I'd say two in particular that I worked for back to back in SETAF back in the early 2000's:
MAJ (now BG) Erik Kurilla
MAJ (now COL) Bill Ostlund
Both tremendous leaders who were destined for big things and continue to achieve them. Ostlund in particular was probably the best boss/mentor I ever had.
