WHO IS THE BEST LEADER, MANAGER, OR COMMANDER YOU EVER WORKED FOR?
Mine was my Mentor/Commander (RET) Colonel John P. Edwards. He was my Commander at the 357th Aviation Detachment, SHAPE, Belgium and inspired me to become an officer and finish college, and reach for the STARS.

Mine would be LtCol Michael S. Anderson, CWO4 Larry Mulenforth, and Gunny Terry Ryan. All three were my mentors in the Corps.
I also had an awesome BC, LtCol Greg Durkack, 1st battalion 125th Inf.

For me it was YN1 (SS) Carl Wilberg. For without his leadership and him taking the time for me. He took me as a non designated striker and made me into at the time a Yeoman Second Class. This was probably the best command and one of my favorite leaders. Yes there were others that were great as well, but Carl Wilberg will be one of top best leaders.

CPT Glen Cadle, commander of the 1644th Transportation Co., IL ARNG, 1984-1989. He was an enlisted soldier who achieved the rank of 1SG before going to OCS. He took a pay cut to be commissioned as a 2LT.

The best commander I ever had was Cpt John Harrel when he took over the Anti Armor Company he requested that I transfer from the Scouts into the TOW Company because I was the TOW trainer for my Scout Co. He did his job and left the rest for his NCO's. When we were in the field he was right there with us, he always stood up for his men, didn't "Micro-Manage" He then moved up and ended up as Commander in Bosnia or whatever country it was that we were in for a while. He then returned to our Div and was in charge of all Div TOW Companies and I served as div Master Gunner for the TOW companies and whe was excellent at his job, then he moved up to Div Commander and did a fantastic job up until he retired. He was a soldier's General!

Chief Warrant Officer Darrell Barber. He cared about his troops and instilled that esprit des corps. Named my oldest son after him because of the influence the chief had on me.
