I am a reservist trying to go active duty. My husband is also active duty, and will more or less likely be going to the field often. We dont have anyone willing to be our family care plan person when it comes to the point of us both being sent to the field. Being that, I have 2 questions, one is there any mos that does not go to the field often and two how will it work if we are sent to the field often and we dont have anyone to watch our child?

1. You will be REQUIRED to have a family plan, or you will never get AD. Even reservists are called to deploy. 2. Higher maintenance shops seldom go to the field, and certain medical fields seldom go. Lots of luck, but it is probably going to hurt regardless

I would imagine administrative specialties wouldn't go into the field much

Most MOS’s do not go into the field. Usually only combat or combat support folks do field training. Look for S-1 jobs, other admin jobs, most medical/dental jobs, etc.
