Due to varying TACSOPs what does your unit focus on during Battery Defense?

I am in a Armor BCT so our guns are self propelled. I can't say I have ever seen them utilize any engineer assets for their defence. From what I know they just use the stand off. It is not hard to hard back and forth if need be. But Tacsops are something the really irks me. I have seen so many have thought ideas in TACSOPs that I just about wish we would jet get rid of them. If you have a TACSOP that is about 300 pages and you expect everyone to know that then you are crazy.

In the 101st we have to go off of our Battalion TACSOP as well as DIVARTY TACSOP. Which usually isn't a problem. I am trying to get an idea of what others deal with in regards to defense. As a Gunnery Sergeant I am responsible for setting up our defense so I'm trying to get different perspectives to see what I can do a little different that will benefit my battery.
