During 89B training, how is communication with your soldier/family? Is family allowed to visit after phase two?

My fiance just switched MOS's from a 68w to a 89b but I havnt been able to find much information beyond what their duties are and what they will be doing. Has anyone gone through ait as an 89b in fort Lee? How was communication with your soldier/family. Were you allowed to visit after phase two? We were literally thrown into this mos a few days ago and hes already off for another ten weeks of training. Any information would be great, thank you.
