If you are in the Fort Carson, Colorado Springs area.
PrepConnect 360 is a community-supported, 5-day transition assistance workshop for currently serving, veterans and spouses conducted at the Pikes Peak Workforce Center. It provides in-depth, hands-on focus on the student’s career assessment, career goal development, and interview skills. We don’t focus on resume writing in this class.
The upcoming PrepConnect 360 class is March 9-13 and we expect about 20 job-seeking vets/and or spouses in the class.
As part of the course, local employers and hiring managers conduct mock interviews with the students. It's a round-robin type event... much like speed dating. Each interview session consists of 12 minutes of interview, 2 minutes of feedback to the student and then one minute for the students to move on to the next employer. After the interviews, we have a group feedback session followed by an opportunity to network over lunch with the students.
We would love to have you join us. Our employer interview day is Thursday, March 12. We ask employers to arrive at the PPWFC, 1675 Garden of the Gods Road, Room 1020 by 9:45 am. We'll do introductions followed by the speed interviews, feedback session then the social/networking/lunch. We'll be done by 12:30. We will send the students' resumes to you for your review a day in advance.
Please let me know if you are available to assist.
Feel free to contact me if you have any additional questions and thank you in advance for your support and time.
