PVT Hitt, I hope and pray you didn't enlist for the wrong reasons. I've been in combat several times, ive seen what it does to a person. You be patient, if it's combat you wish, you'll have your chance. I challenge you to enjoy what you have now, enjoy your life now. That's my advice to you young man.

Nothing has ended. They can create a new phase of operations as part of a campaign ie new dawn but it's just another phase of ongoing war on terror

Yes they're discontinuing the term not the war. The use of the term is misleading you can't declare war on a tactic.
