Hello everyone,
I’ve almost completed my master’s degree in Economics / Business Admin. with a 3.5 GPA (converted) at the Copenhagen Business School in Denmark - currently projected to graduate around May/June 2019.
I’m a US citizen and 25 years old. Would it make sense to enlist, or should I attempt to pursue OCS? I’m open to both branch and job function at the moment, but I find Military Intelligence interesting. However, understanding the process is quite difficult given that I can’t drop in at a recruiter’s office abroad.
Should I wait until I return to the US before pursuing this? Do you have any advice?

Enlist, then apply to OCS from within.

That is something you would have to answer yourself. But for me I would definitely go OCS. Simply because while your enlisted time may be beneficial in your time as an officer their is more opportunity to actually utilize your last 6 years of learning in the officer side of the house.

Only you can answer that question. For myself in your situation, I'd go the officer route.

DONT GO TO OCS! Find another way. You do not want to risk your career. Or maybe you just want that GI Bill. That is fine. Some of my classmates were the same way. Me, I wanted to retire from the military taking the good with the bad. Do not go through OCS. Those TACs are taught to lie and cheat and you are taking a gamble if you go that route. I have two Masters myself, one from WTAMU and the other from University of the People. Yeah, well after what the US Army did to me I have not been able to get a decent job since to pay for a well known school. So I had to get what I could and even though it is an MBA, I still have yet to see a salaried position. I had my first Masters before I went into OCS. Because I wanted to make sure I would be in the running for FA 40 (Space Systems) once I hit Field Grade. Go another route: direct, ROTC, even look at direct from enlisted. Just Don't. Go. OCS. If you want a career in the US Army.
