Best of luck to all my brothers and sisters in Arms. We have all worked hard to get to this point in our careers, let's be proud of ourselves and continue to mentor our Soldiers.

yes good words
haha our S1 messed up all the E6 ERBs by placing us on incoming personnel so we are all trying to validate our stuff at the last minute

WO1 (Join to see) There was a post about being responsible for uploading and making your own changes. I went four different times to get my ERB to the specifications that I wanted. If I was able to do it myself, it would have been done correctly the first time. However, I do understand the process and the reasons why.

Well we just changed our MTOE from 4 companies down to 2 and some odd reason S1 just messed the whole system up and put everyone on incoming status
gotta love S1

We had similar issues here, our TDA is inaccurate and our brigade shifted platoons from one company to another company.
Why would a SSG who is looking to be promoted to SFC wait until the last day to verify a board file? We have had a month to do this, just saying. No sympathy from me guys but thanks for helping out everyone who validated early.

SSG (Join to see) Thanks for your response and good luck on getting promoted. I did wait until the last day because there is paperwork I have turned in multiple times to get in my board file that has still not made it in. I have reviewed my board file at least once a week since it opened and ensured my records were completed to the best of my abilities. I've never had issues with the website before, and I didn't anticipate having issues yesterday. First and last time mistake but I did get mine signed last night.

SSG Jordan Gaudard - If that's the case, I'm glad you got it squared away. It took me awhile to update my records and have them show up on my board file, new DA photo etc. So I know it's not a one day turn around. As some of the comments said, S shops can mess up too. Barring any outside factors though, I'm still seeing Facebook posts asking when the file closes, that's the wrong answer for a potential E7. Not a personal jab at you, just didn't like the barrage of excuses coming with the posts. We wouldn't let our Soldiers wait till the last day to complete a BLC packet, right? Best of luck brother.

SSG Euller,
You are absolutely right that some SSG's have to ask on social media or other sites to find out when the deadline is or excuses after excuses which is unacceptable but not all are in that boat. Like SSG Gaudard stated, he has been proactively reviewing his packet since it opened but there are external factors that do play into why some have to wait until the last minute in order to hit the validate button. S1 may have been overloaded with other work, the optempo of certain units may not help in getting certain paperwork signed, or the biggest is getting an NCOER to be submitted for this board. You know how much red tape NCOERS get. "Change this word", "I don't like that word", "This bullet is not strong enough" etc... and what happens... the whole packet gets sent back down to the evaluator to change one or two things to get sent back up through the same exact channel. I am not disagreeing with you about SSGs waiting till the last minute and coming up with excuses but again there are many that work on packets with no control over when the changes will appear.
