This video was sent to us by a lady out of the Reno, Nevada area. This guy was walking around pretending he was a Marine. When asked for his name he responded that, "He was on High Alert, and couldn't give that out."
He then said he was a member of the 3rd Battalion, 26th Marines, which have been deactivated sine 1970. The Marines do have a 26th MEU(Marine Expeditionary Unit), but it doesn't have a 3rd Battalion.
He was trying to get a discount on or a free venue for his wedding using the claims.

Maybe Ft. Leavenworth for a minimum of 2-5 ! We all served for various reasons but we all have a couple of thing's in common: patriotism & commitment !!

This lady is way out of line. I understand being upset over stolen valor but you don't handle it like that.
I used to work with a guy that told everyone he had been a Navy Seal. We checked it out and sure enough they never heard of him. We told him we knew he was lying and to knock it off.
The man in the video sounds like he is drunk or who knows maybe it is mental illness.
