This video was sent to us by a lady out of the Reno, Nevada area. This guy was walking around pretending he was a Marine. When asked for his name he responded that, "He was on High Alert, and couldn't give that out."
He then said he was a member of the 3rd Battalion, 26th Marines, which have been deactivated sine 1970. The Marines do have a 26th MEU(Marine Expeditionary Unit), but it doesn't have a 3rd Battalion.
He was trying to get a discount on or a free venue for his wedding using the claims.

Lots of people with mental problems. Not hard to spot. Let the authorities handle the problem. I do not like stolen valor anymore then rhe rest of us military veterans but there are people trained to handle people with mental problems. You never know..he could have exploded and attacked someone.

"Pretenders" should be called out! Too many of us have lost brave comrades in combat in the service to our nation. It infuriates me to hear or witness these sick individuals disrespecting the uniform or memories of those of us,who have served. Less than 1% of all Americans have served in the military; less than 5% of all American families can say with honesty that they have a family member who served!

I tend to agree with the previous comments. I think it is pretty clear early on that this man has either cognitive, mental and/or substance abuse issues and to challenge a delusion is a very dangerous thing to do. And, not to be sexist, but can be more dangerous for a female of a male. I respect her right to express her feelings, I just recommend she do so in a less emotionally provocative way. Think smarter not harder.

Normally I would say to just blow this off. However, since he decided to attempt stolen valor for monetary gains, he needs to be dealt with by law enforcement. It is unfortunate if this person does actually have mental issues but this can’t be allowed!

The dude is obviously mentally ill. The lady is the one that sounds drunk. What the hell is imentry. I mean I was only a grunt but even I know there’s no such thing as imentry. And this issue is so petty that now is civilians calling people out and not just people from other branches. Get over this shit.

He looks old enough maybe he was in vietnam? Maybe he's nuts and believes he is still in. Flashback Idk. Severe PTSD can lead to other serious mental disorders if not treated. Or maybe he's just a dumbass his name would be on his uniform and that's not a marine uniform anyway. His cover is way wrong that's an army patrol cap.
