It is with deep sadness that I tell you that SSG(R) Kelly
Keck, ATEC EEO has passed away on Thursday 13 March 2014. SSG Keck was a
Wounded Warrior; he served as a Medic at Ft Hood Taxes and was wounded after
stepping on a land mine trying to save the life of his fellow Soldiers in Afghanistan.
He lost his right leg at the knee and most of his fingers on his left hand in
the explosion. Even after all of that he still wanted to make a difference in
the Army and help Soldiers so When Kelly left the WTB he came to work for the
Army Test and Evaluation Command here at APG, MD as a DA Civilian. On 13 March
2014 he lost his fight with PTSD. Please
keep SSG (R) Kelly, Keck’s family and his ATEC family in your thoughts and
prayers.

That's rough 1SG, I went through a similar situation almost a year ago now. Somehow for me it is more difficult to deal with something like this than those we lose in combat

An update to my post. Saw a buddy posting weird things on Facebook last night so I reached out and was able to avoid a catastrophe. A friendly reminder, if you see a buddy struggling say something, do something

That is a tragedy and my condolences to his family. 4/1 FA (2003-2005) lost a brother Monday to Alcoholism and PTSD also, he was he had his funeral this morning and was buried in KC MO/ Ft Leavenworth area. SGT Albert Bratton. You never know who might appreciate that call out of the blue. It might be the one that keeps them going.
