Have to go with Gunsmoke on this one. Started listening to it on the radio in about 1950 and followed through its entire TV life. Knew Marshal Dillon would be faced with a hard obstacle to overcome or decision to make each week and always looked forward to the show. Shows did not always end up with a shooting, hanging, or beat-down. Always waited for Marshal Dillon & Ms. Kitty to hook up but it never happened. Remember a young Bert Reynolds? & of course, Festus always had words of wisdom to offer.
