I failed my test halfway through 92y Ait , in the national guard . Half of my classes is getting recycled . We have been waiting 2 weeks to be out into a class . Other recycles have been wasting 3-4 weeks . We do crap details , and just spend the rest of out time in the barracks room doing nothing. We cant have snacks ,drinks or any on base passes (coronavirus ) . Many of us are getting really bored. We asked the company commander If we can get somebody to tutor us, stand in the back if any class and learn ir download the software on the computers at our barracks that nobody uses so we can practice . She said no . So now we are at a stand still watching our platoon move forward while we wait and waste time. Many people are giving up but they don't care . What should I do in this situation ? How can I make myself feel better ? Sometimes I don't feel like this is worth it and fear I'mjust gonna fail another test and be stuck in the same loop . Any suggestions or advice

Do not, do not, DO NOT GIVE UP!!! You might have failed but you still have the chance to train again and get it right. You’re at a crossroad within your young career. You can put your ruck on and climb thyme mountain or you can go home. Yes sometimes details are crappy, but take the time to see the grander scheme of things. What I mean is take whatever detail or task you do throughout the day and apply it to your MOS. You’ll be surprised what you can pull from to make yourself a better person and soldier. Go and do PT. It may suck but YOU are getting better. This is where you find out about yourself.

After reading your first post now, the 2nd on similar topics, you need to understand where you went wrong, was it studying or not understanding the coursework?
Honestly, the 92Y MOS is a relatively straight forward AIT. What are you struggling with? Is it GCSS army or taking tests? This course is mainly Cntrl F and knowing where to find information.
Did you take notes during the time you were in class we're you given study material if so can you reference the coursework.
You will be given another chance. It looks like you need to develop a good study habit to continue moving forward.
The Army does not change for you. As a Soldier, you need to adapt to the military AIT is just the start you will be in military schools your entire career if you can't adapt then NCOES courses will be challenging.
Now is the time to change your attitude and study habits adapt find a way to study and prepare I am fairly certain most knowledge is available if you look for it.

I think it was multiple factors , half our class got recycled which other instructorw said was un heard of . He just taught what was for the test and not actually teach us the material . His contracted ended though so he doesnt teach anymore. Another issue was gcss army kicking us out multiple times while taking tests . This test was not multiple choice which we didnt know , it was more about navigating gcss army which we struggled with . I know if I get on the computer and practice then I will be fine but unfortunately we dont have acced to them .

I saw this notification pop on my phone and teared up a bit. Last week I double tapped a test and now I'm a recycle, I'm on hold till another person fails and I can take their spot and try again, could be months of details and being bored out of my mind. These things happen, you're not the first to recycle and won't be the last. I know it sucks now but you will get back into class at some point and you need to be ready. Focus on studying your material and being with other soldiers, laying in your room alone and bored is a bad move. Recycles here can go to the gym which helps kill the day, maybe you can too? I always tell myself the fastest way out of here to the real ARMY is to just get through this, you had a setback and it's okay but if you give up you're going to be here longer and it's going to suck even more. You can do this, people before you have done it and you can too.

PVT (Join to see) 4 weeks damn I was a couple months but I feel you. I'm keeping in touch with my former classmates getting notes from them on what's to come and studying what I failed. You can pass this and graduate!!!
