So, the USAR CW3/4/5 promotion list came out on Tuesday October 20th. The active Army list came out on Wednesday the 14th My name's on my component's list, as are a few other names on both lists I was hoping to see, rock on. There's no way in hell I'm getting the saucer cap with the scrambled eggs on it, though. I mean, hell, I only just bought the original saucer cap. I'm going back to the beret with my ASUs.

While personally I prefer my beret the reality is that uniform standards are directed by the commander and to not have the correct head gear as well as complain in open forum in the event that he/she requires it blows ones credibility, which in turn is a hard road to overcome. Just things I think about.

My commander will probably mandate the beret... and honestly, the saucer cap is never required because you have to buy it extra...
