Who told you a waive was required for RE-1A?

Ok, well business rules reenlistment for prior service change a lot, so what RE-1A meant yesterday, likely means little tomorrow. Hence my confusion as last I checked RE-1A Individuals with over 6 years of service for pay. Fully qualified for enlistment. Ineligible to reenlist for 93 days after date of separation.

I qualified for Option 3 under the Prior service business rules. I have 42 months TIS. I got RE-1A from the Marines because I had used the VEERP. I have been out for 2 years.

1A should not need a waiver. From my days as a recruiter the only issue would be your MOS. Does your Marine MOS translate to an Army MOS. Often there is no reclass available or offered to prior service.

SFC Joseph Weber - Yeah, the whole station was wondering why we needed a waiver.

SSG (Join to see) - I hope it gets worked out quickly. If they make you go through basic I don't want to see any posts about how easy it is compared to Marine basic!! Good luck brother!

CWO2 S R - Yes sir. Its because they wanted to know the reason for why I did the VEERP to get out early. My old unit has already sent them a letter but they want it to be from HQMC which has been a month already waiting.

SSG (Join to see) - I am in the exact same boat. I did the veerp now they want to do a waiver. I went to MOL to get all my documents and they insist that they want it to come directly from HQMC but it has been over a month. My recruiter sent me a text saying that the system is messed up but that was weeks ago. I did an EPAR and got documents back in 3 days. I am really hoping they aren't playing games.
