My brother is headed to OSUT in July and I'm just wondering what they are doing differently bcz of COVID19. Were you quarantined when you got there, for how long? Were you paid for that time? Do you still eat in the DFAC? If not, what's the new protocol? Is total number of weeks extended, ECT. Any info you can provide would be appreciated.

So I just graduated bootcamp less then a week ago . I personally wasnt quarentined because the whole cornovirus happened week 3 for me but new recruits are for 2 weeks at reception.but we had to be 6 feet apart, the dfac shut down so we got hot A's which is basically they bring hot meals from the dfac to your company to eat on the drill pad, which sucks because it's all portioned small , not like a buffet kind of thing at the normal dfac. So you get hot A's twice a day and mre once a day . They cut out combatives but mostly the training stayed the same. The bunks have to be spread apart , handsantizer. You have to wear a mask everywhere you go which sucks . Nothing to crazy changes but you have to keep your spacing which the drill sergeants tell constantly.
