For all of those saying that this question is rude. It is the equivalent of when a believer tells someone they are going to hell. As an atheist i don't see a difference between Mohamed and the tooth fairy, or jesus and roger rabit. Fiction is fiction.

TSgt Hunter Logan - not so.... i'm not a apologist. I'm a humanist. Lets discuss some thing of substance.. how about the Christian divine command theory. That's about as boiler plate a belief as the trinity.

I was between 8 and 10, but it wasn't my parents as they were both still semi-observant Jews. 8 is when I started reading my father's rather extensive library of World War Two books and by 10 I was not only fascinated with all aspects of the conflict, but was actively questioning why a god who would intervene against the Egyptians would allow Hitler to murder 6 million Jews and 14 million Christians.

If you thinks is a joke put God to a test. Let me tell you a story.

I got my degree. In biology spent 2 more years specializing in in clinical science. My wife and I couldn't have kids, so with my science background and experience I was proactive and we tried in vitro, about 20 grand in the hole to no avail. I remember I shot cost $500.00 to stop ovulation. I took three days and three shots, $1500.00. Just for that part.

I put God to the test. I said Lord I've failed you I took matters into my own hands and I messed everything up. If you want us to have children place them in our laps, we're gonna fife a Harley's and trust you.

We had two children in a month.

Believing in God is Deciding not to shake your fist at Him but yielding to his wisdom.

TSgt Hunter Logan - Sorry to disappoint, but in 2016 we know EXACTLY where babies come from, and it isn't in any way supernatural.

TSgt Hunter Logan - Again, sorry you feel that way, but it is a simple fact that human reproduction is completely and thoroughly understood by modern science and there are no supernatural forces involved anymore than divine intervention is required for two plus two to equal four.

I truly believe this, be the change you want to see in the world. I can't change you or anyone, but I can change myself.

I always think about the story about the boy and the starfish. An old man see a boy throwing starfish (Echinoderms) that have wash onto the beach back into the ocean. The old man says you can't possibly say all those starfish. The boys says you're right, but I can each one o throw back.

LTC (Join to see) - I think that a man and woman woman meeting in a a similar time stream, in the vastness a of space and time (technically four dimensions), and procreating is by definition supernatural. It's beyond the realm of human understanding.
