Too many gadgets. When I learned to fly it was VORs, NDBs, and maps. Too many pilots relying on these gadgets to find their way around.

Heh, I learned to fly gliders first, not even vors needed all dead reckoning while flying cross country. Actually this gadget is for more weather , and traffic information from mode c and data link via mode c :)

Boy! I wish I could have tried gliding...sounds like a lot of fun. I also wanted to try hot air balloons but never got around to it.

PFC David Ryba - heh I have around 600-700 hours of flying gliders , if you ever learn to fly , hit gliders first then transition into power best thing ever :)

Oh, I do hold a private pilot, single engine land, certificate. I received my certificate while enrolled in the professional pilot training program at Gateway Technical College. Unfortunately, I was unable to complete the program due to financial reasons. At least I got my license out of it though.
