For DD-93 and SGLI, do you still have to update the information with S-1?

Do you still have to go up to Battalion and update this information with the S-1? Or is this something that can be done online now and have your information forwarded to the S-1 clerk that is associated with your UIC? Thanks!

You can do it only now at milconnect. Sign in with your CAC and click on Benefits at the top and select Life Insurance. It is now the only way to do it. It shows up on your OMPF after 48hrs. Good luck.

Well not sure for active but reserves are supposed to review and update annually, usually their birth month but that may or may not be happening these days.

Yea we do it annually as well, or before a deployment. I had a Soldier beside me in the library who didn't know where to go. I was assuming that it is still done with S1. But I'm not 100% sure

If he thinks he needs his update or had a life changing event, like a birth or marriage then yes he should go so S-1 and have them update his information as well as update deers.

dd 93 can not be updated, only personnel with emilpo access, sglv can be updated on mil connect though
