This question comes to mind for me, especially considering that Vietnam veterans generally did not receive a warm welcome home back to the US when they finished up. So I wonder if Vietnam vets would go back and do it all over again if they had the chance, particularly for people whose units in Vietnam got torn up pretty bad.

I am back there almost every night, as many of you are, and there are battles we have NEVER left!

SPC Michael Duricko, Ph.D So sorry to hear that; I wasn’t in a war but many other horrors have been erased in me because of Jesus, May God yet grant you peace through Christ.

Yes I absolutely would do it again …I served in the early 70s with the 25th Infantry Division and those lessons learned there and then have served me well here and now ….

I enlisted at 17 with the intentions of going to VN. I had to do a year in Germany first until I was 18. I was sent there a week after turning 18 and don't regret it. It was a wake up call to better myself. Would I do it again? Yes I would.

I volunteered in the early seventies for the combat arms units for a $1000 bonus and ended up 25th Infantry Division outside of Cu Chi ….to this day I regret every minute of every hour of what I did but I guess if asked if I would do it again my answer would be yes all over again bc I’m an American and that’s what we do .

No question about it. Just because Viet Nam became a political war latter on did not mean we helped the South Vietnamese people. Marines don't worry...we have a job to do and we take care of it. Semper Fi
