In the Heidelberg Military Community, we had a Recycle Center. Good source for furniture, power converters, house hold items, etc

USAG Bavaria directs you to Free Cycle and the Thrift Store.

SPC (Join to see) - good luck. You'll find PCSing neighbors shedding stuff like crazy. Ask around the stairwells

Government housing has ‘rental furniture’. Normally you call and have them pick it up when your HHG arrives, but we kept ours the whole time. If you don’t have anything, don’t worry - just know their mattresses are very different.

MAJ (Join to see) Heidelberg had these horrific beds. If North Korea had a Reeducation Camp Signature Series Bed, these would be they. Rest was "day room" type furniture.not awesome, but clean and serviceable.
