For transitioning veterans who value working for a purpose, have you or would you consider working for a non-profit? Why/Why not?

Mark Heick - If I am going to dive into a new position I need it to meet a few goals. Right now those goals are:
1. Keep within my current salary range or improve.
2. Reduce my amount of travel requirement.
3. Have potential for growth. It should make use of my skills to their potential.
4. Have stability.
An additional requirement for a non-profit position would be that it would have to be aimed at improving some sector of Veteran's lives in some way.
