Form 368 - What happens if I change my mind on switching from reserve to active during the process?

So around November 2020 my 368 form was being sent up my chain of command. However I got the chance to hop on a deployment with another unit. Since then I have changed my mind on my transfer to active. So I am wondering what is the "point of no return" I don't know if the release was ever approved or probably post-poned. Considering it gets approved, can I just never bring the complete form back to my recruiter? I have messaged my NCOIC,but due to time differences I won't hear back in a few hours and thought I may get a quicker response here.

The point of no return is when you sign that active duty contract. It's a conditional release, meaning you are only released on the condition that you enlist in another branch. If you don't, then you aren't released.

And the conditional release just expires 180 days after approval if you have not used it for a contract.
