My first duty station will be at Fort Campbell. Any advice or highlights about the place? I will really appreciate.

With today's day and age there is tons of info online - you just need to sit down and search it out.
Fort Campbell is a unique base because there are 3 cities that "border" the base and support the military greatly. Because of that you will always find someone ready to ask you about your job or to say thank you. You are also in the country so most folks here have that country hospitality and go out of their way to make you feel a part of the area. Nashville is close and you are centrally located to other great cities and areas.
I agree you should be ready to attend Air Assault School within a few weeks to months of arriving. I can honestly say I haven't met too many people that say they did not like their stay at Fort Campbell. IF you have particular questions shoot them this way and we will answer them as fast as you toss them out.

Get ready to go to Air Assault School. Apparently the CG has a policy that everyone attends. (per an earlier post on RP).
I've always been of the opinion that you can enjoy your time at any duty station, regardless of where you are. You just have to get out of the barracks and off post and explore the place.

You will enjoy the area as it is very beautiful and offers plenty of activities for single and married soldiers with families. It is a very strong tradition based with the 101st, so expect very high standards of excellence for the units you come into contact with, depending on your MOS you will have plenty of training conducted for your job and the unit you go to. Be prepared to enjoy lots of PT and depending on where you go if you are not already Air Assault qualified expect to be put in for the school or strongly encouraged to apply for it.
For a 1st duty station , I think it will be a good learning experience and better prepare you for any follow on station after your time there, take care and stay safe.

PFC,
Are you going to the hospital or the CSH? I just arrived to the hospital a few weeks ago, myself. I may be able to answer questions you have in regards to that.

PFC, if you're going to Blanchfield, make sure to check out the Blanchfield page on RallyPoint and connect with a few other soldiers prior to your arrival. They can probably give you some very specific tips. Good luck!

Thurston, I agree with SFC Baber's and SSG Williams' replies.
With about 235,000 residents, Fort Campbell is the 2nd most-populated Army post in the U.S. Cost of living in this area is lower than the national average. There is a new project under development called Oak Grove Village. It's right outside of Gate 7 and will feature a new high-tech movie theater and other entertainment venues. Blanchfield Army Community Hospital (BACH) is a relatively modern facility built in the 1980s, and there are renovations currently underway there. The few medical staff that I've interacted with at BACH were very friendly and seemed to enjoy their jobs.
On a personal note, I love Fort Campbell and will miss it greatly when I PCS later this year. I'm sure you'll love it as well.
