The shirt states how he feel about Islam. That is his "right" and regardless what we feel about it, it is cover by the 1st Amendment, thanks to the US Supreme Court.

No our freedoms wasn't granted by the Supreme Court BUT! They're the ones that stated that burning the flag was cover by the 1st Amendment. Beside there is a difference between a "right" and a "freedom". Example you have the freedom to say whatever you want, but you do not have the right to yell "fire" in a crowded theater. With freedom comes responsibility

Free speech under the 1st Amendment was never meant to protect those who would be offended by it! I take exception with those who believe that just because we can doesn't make it right. Of course it is right! It is our right, our God given right, and that can not be wrong! I would back this young man in a second, with deadly force if need be, if anyone would be incited to violence against him for the fearless free exercise of his right as a citizen of the United States of America. I once took a solemn oath to defend the Constitution against all enemies foreign and domestic. Be advised that no one has ever relieved me of my duties under this oath!

Absolutely! With that said I admit that my response is biased. Christians are not burning men in cages in the name of Christianity. I have no problem with calling out Islamist murderers and killing them! This was the policy of the Bush administration in Iraq. In contrast, the current administration declared the U.S. mainland a battlefield. The majority of Muslims are peaceful people. However, in the war on terrorism, the peaceful majority are irrelevant!

CPT (Join to see) You know, that's a good question. The answer is that we (Christian Americans) have been tolerant of hatred toward our religion for decades and longer. Piss Christ, Virgin Mary in poo, and a variety of instances of intolerance from our own local and federal gov't regarding forcing individuals to purchase or provide goods/services contrary to their religious beliefs are just a few examples that come immediately to mind. Christians teach and are taught tolerance. Would I defend you? Yeah. I wouldn't like it. I would be upset by your expression, but I would defend you from harm. The words on your shirt do not justfy violence against you. The problem is not with our freedom of expression - the problem is with those who adhere to a doctrine that places their own (religious in this case) beliefs above the Constitution and rights of others. We are within our rights to draw pictures of a prophet, wear t-shirts that say Eff Islam, or burn a koran, and anyone believing it justifies violence is wrong. Perhaps it does in a theocratic environment such as is found in the ME, but in this country it certainly does not.

Christians did burn men and hung them from trees. You can blame the peaceful majority. The same can be said for us.

Christian history is not without violent atrocities. If it were, the U.S. may have never been founded, but this is not what Christians are doing today. It is what Islamists' are doing today. Blame the peaceful majority? For what, being peaceful? I can't get behind 'blame America first' ideologies. The goals of our enemies are not likely to diminish from a lack of leadership to engage them by force!

Unfortunately we have lost our rights in this country. The only ones you have anymore come with strings attached to politically correct rules.
Personally if this was me, I wouldn't have worn that shirt.....I feel it would have been more effective wearing something else.
