Gambling in the Military - Mixed ranks and other issues

I am a poker player. I am not the greatest in the world but I absolutely love to play the game.
Once, I was at a table in the Tropicana in Vegas and three recent graduates from West Point sat down. I was a SFC at the time. I know we can't gamble between the enlisted and officers... Should I have gotten up and moved to another table even though I was up $800? What's the rule on this. I would love to be able to play poker with some NCO friends, but don't want to cross the line of impropriety and fraternization.
Have you ever experienced anything like this? How did you handle it? What do you think about the issue of playing with officers and enlisted personnel? Is there a way to do this legally?

We all know it's illegal for officers to gamble with enlisted. We also all know that this happens every day whether it's march madness, NFL weekly, baseball, whatever.<div>Is this an outdated rule that needs to be rebooked at or is this really merited? Does anyone have any horror stories? Or is this something that can be used to build morale and a little trash talk?</div>
