I think this is pretty much a non-issue.
If you want "real" engine noise, there are plenty of after-market options that have been around for decades.

1SG Healy, I'd say the issue is truth in marketing; there are many gullible people out there who don't know what you know about mechanics, engines or marketing. I recall many a dealer who was put off limits for duping soldiers in a variety of ways, including things like this at Ft McClellan, Ala.

Perhaps @sgm Dan Coberly. But whether the noise is digitally or mechanically produced, if it has the desired effect on the base instincts of the purchaser, then he/she has not been "duped" in any way.

1SG--agree that some folks are not as bright as others. Much depends on how the manufacturer advertises (under various laws) and presents facts, plus how the buyer is beware enough to ask intelligent questions. I am not a fan of baby sitting adults who should know what they are buying. Also not a fan of those who mislead others to make a buck. Based on negative legal and public feedback, that may be the case here. Thanks for your opinion.

I drive an Audi S6 which has this. Engine is still quiet. I plan on upgrading the exhaust system.
