Given the current COVID-19 issues, how is the military with people shipping out to basic training right now?

I cant tell you about the process from MEPS to 30th AG but I can tell you that they are not leaving here until May 11. So I have no idea where they are going to put them all as we are on a complete stop movement. My current class is about to graduate in next week. We then have to hold them in place as well as pick up another class no more than 10days later. I hope they stop sending them until we get it all straightened out and fixed up on this end. Other wise having up to 440 PVTS per troop is going to be really interesting.

SFC I am an OSUT drill and at the moment that is what we are doing. Now can it change yet again before I finish typing this (probably has). But for now we are still continuing to train and pick up classes. From further investigation they are testing and temping at 30th the day they arrive and then the day before and the day of ship to unit. But we are not sending PVTs to the force until the stop move is lifted. If that helps any.

SFC Bert Linson As far as the Air Force has determined, BMT, Tech School, OCS, & Flight School is not delayed. They are altering their processes - checking before departure to and from schools, etc.

Recently read that they are still shipping but checking twice for it at MEPs and med processing.
