I am going to take advantage of getting the schooling/certifications to try and build up my resume/ERB this process taught me that no day is promised in uniform or out and having a secondary option is critical.

Retained as well, but I have concerns over QSP. Having been a SSG for 7 years now, I show a lack of career progression, which makes me a prime candidate for separation there. I am leaving for SLC next week, and my board file won't look too shabby next year, but we'll see.

That said, if I can stay in until retirement, I will. It will make college while married and with children much more feasible. My degree plan is mathematics; I'll need to attend a brick-and-mortar education in order for it to be transferrable all the way up to Ph.D. levels, which is my ultimate goal (and will definitely help if I intend to be a college math professor.)

That said, there are options available to me even if I were to be separated tomorrow. The problem is, I don't like those options as much. But, if it comes down to it, I'll do what I have to to feed my family.

Education is definitely a priority for me as well. That was a situation where man I really was confused about what would I do that would support my family and myself. I been in the service since graduating from high school it was a wake up call for certain just definitely have a new view on life because of it.
