Google Chrome or Intenet Explorer?

Hello PO2 McNeilly,  Please go through my guide for fixing IE, this will also fix Google Chrome.  http://milcac.us/tweaks   Firefox can also work, but you have to have ActivClient installed and configured for Firefox to work with your CAC.  I have instructions located on http://militarycac.com/firefox.htm 

I use Safari or Chrome up until the point where I have to use my CAC to log in to something. I can only ever get it to work with IE and a PC.

Seriously though, Firefox is my browser of choice. I have no issue with CAC login, and it has better features than any other browser I've used.

Chrome (well, Chromium on my machine) is good, but gives me trouble with flash and tends to crash frequently. It is much faster than any graphical browser I've used.

I only used IE for those few sites the Army designed that don't work properly on real browsers.

Chrome is best! Honestly if you are also having issues with Chrome, chances are you have a deeper issue with your system.

I just noticed that also. I updated chrome and now have a wait. I am not sure why it is there but it is not what it used to be.

I use Apple Safari on my Mac for everything except military courseware. Works fine for Enterprise email and just about everything else. For those occasions when I must use a PC (NCOERs, etc.) I use IE in Parallels Desktop on my Mac, running Windows 7.

Firefox was great a decade ago, but I've come to just like simplicity and lack of clutter. I don't trust google. so if forced to use a PC I'll take IE, which I consider the lesser of two evils.

I switched to Opera after Chrome started automatically downloading things, and it handles everything fairly well.

I would go with Firefox. That is my browser of choice. Though I have Chrome and IE installed on my computer for those times that something happens. Though I haven't had any troubles with Firefox.

From my own experiences, some websites are not formatted well to work with Chrome.
While it is much faster and has Adobe Flash Player built into it, some pages seem to get stuck because they are rendering with a different format. That, or with secure websites, Chrome is harder to lock onto for the site (something like that). My recommended fixes are: Don't use Chrome for government websites...
Actually, I've never had a problem using it with anything else.
