Great Cycling Challenge: Is anyone else participating?

Hello everybody, My name is SGT Joseph Brady. I have recently decided to take some of my personal time to participate in a fundraiser to help children with cancer. My wife got me interested in this because I enjoy bicycle riding for exercise as many service members do. The fund raiser is called the Great Cycle Challenge, and it starts June 1 2015, and ends on June 30 2015. I am posting this message to see if any other service members are participating in this event and to invite anybody who would like to participate. Myself and one other participant have started a team called Army Veterans, and we would love to have many more riders join our team. Below are links to my personal page for the fundraiser as well as for the Army Veterans Team. Please, if you are a cyclist, join and ride throughout June to give kids with cancer a fighting chance.

Trying to get the word out and if you havent been invited yet, here it is. The great thing about USMES is as members of different branches and locations, you can take advantage of the program and still race in your local kit if you would like. There are tons of services offered to you as a current or previous service member and we would love to have your presence on the team. Take a look at the team sponsors and if the discounts alone don't persuade you, hopefully the camaraderie will.

US Military Endurance Sports is currently doing a membership drive to educate like minded individuals on the benefits of endurance sports. We have recently changed our motto to "Fit for Duty, Fit for Life," something every member takes seriously and attempts to embody on a daily basis. Please try to help me get the word out about this remarkable organization that has changed so many lives in the short amount of time since its inception. We currently held a 15 person triathlon training camp in Tucson and have a diverse team of athletes that support one another on a daily basis. see USMES.org for membership benefits (to include an array of discounts worldwide) and to apply today (open to current and separated members of the military; active, guard and reserve). Tell them Bart sent you.

Good to know. I suggest you and your team members hit up the American Legion and VFW near you. My VFW sponsored me for 300, and one of the ladies auxiliary members gave me 100
