Has any 91B’s attended ALC in Idaho? I leave in a couple weeks and was hoping to get some insight on it. Anyone?

I received a welcome letter last week. Per diem is $21 a day, DTS is telling me I am only approved for $18.90/ day, I’ll be staying in “billets” - 2 person rooms with a shared latrine and laundry facilities are $.75 a load and $.25 for 15 minutes to dry. I can’t help but feel I got screwed out of going to Ft. Lee.

To be honest, you got screwed out of going to Fort Lee. Secondly, record how much you spend on your launderings and bring that to DTS when you return to your home base. Third, in mid-August the POTUS put in a change of policy for DTs where you will now recieve full per diem the whole time of which you attend your ALC class. The billeting issue is just unfortunate.

Yea man. It’s real chill. I found it to be pretty easy too. Honestly dealing with the guard was frustrating cause it was so relaxed lol. The area was nice - although we didn’t really have time to explore since class was 7 days a week. You’ll be in their barracks - 2 man rooms that are joined with a single shower and toilet in between. The per diem is only $21 a day cause there’s a dfac right there and laundry is pay per wash. There’s a gym and a nice track very close as well. Overall I’m glad I went there over Lee only cause it was so chill.
