Has anyone had the opportunity to earn foreign jump wings or participated in Operation Toy Drop that wasn't assigned to an airborne unit?

You can request permissive jump status and participate in a friendship jump with other countries. The Rhode Island Army National Guard and the 56TH Troop Command Bde (ABN) hosts the only International Military Parachute Competition each year in August. There is usually 4-5 countries represented. Private message me for more information.

British wings.
Trained with 2 Para Recce Platoon.
Great troops.

Among training revolutions, did their trainasium (elevated obstacle course) and made three balloon jumps on Salisbury Plain.
Other stuff too.

2 Para were great soldiers. Worked hard, played hard.

You shouldn't be able to earn wings this way as you can only get on Permissive jump status for certain reasons. But in fact as long as you have a buddy who is O-6 and above to sign off, no one at DA will question your packet. But you must meet other Permissive status that is non negotiable.
