Has anyone else created a map of all the places they have fought in country? (Iraq, Afghanistan, Vietnam, whatever)

I bought a rather large map of Iraq in country back in 2006, and I have finally put it on the wall in my office. I have marked the different places in the Anbar province I was in, but my mind seems to be slipping and I feel like I am missing places to mark. I am afraid of marking places I haven't been even though I think I have (I feel like that is a stolen valor issue). Has anyone else marked a map of the different places they have been in country? (I have a flag that I carried with me in the Humvee for the first 3/4s of my tour, and I marked the box with the dates and places I had gone, but I can't seem to find that now.)

I've done the same. I also have done the same for where I've worked. It's a nice physical representation of where I've been to show to my kids.
I tell them where I'm going, and let them plot the stick pins and string.

I carried unclassified maps of our squadron AO in Baghdad and of RC-East in Afghanistan when I was the Deputy CJ-3 that I brought home with me.
Using these I've managed to write down those places that were important to our missions.
This has been great when talking to friends and family immediately following deployment and for my own memory following.

Yes, I'm hoping to do the same. Unfortunately, I still think I am forgetting places.

No, but SGT Justin Singleton that is a cool idea. I have tracked every state and nation I have visited, but this sounds like a good idea.

I am still perfecting it. So far, I have thumb tacks and two different colors of paper to make the pins "pop" out, but I also traveled a lot of Iraqi highways...I don't want to mess up the map, but I need to find a way to mark those highways.

I have thought of that, but I am uncertain on how to "mark" the turns. I might just highlight the entire route, turns and all.
