I'm still in but I have helped a few ETS from hood. I would highly recommend taking advantage of the program they offer like the internship or certification programs, had a soldier do an archeology internship in Hood, but there is stuff for commo, vehicle repair, and dozens of other programs. It's even got the push from higher leadership to take part in this stuff. Also get situated with college with their help at the Ed center if possible.

Sweet! I heard we can start 18 months out depending on your situation? That's what the education center told me that we can start that long out. Anymore information would be great!

Take advantage of everything they offer and start as early as possible. They do have dozens of internships, that you can take advantage of. Also, there’s a “Access Higher Education” 2-day workshop, where they will break down anything and everything you need to know about your school benefits, application process, etc.

Yes, you could schedule ACAP as early as 18 months out, and when you schedule 5 day workshop, no matter what anyone says your CoC cannot cancel or reschedule it without your request.
