Has anyone ever been in a screaming match or any altercation with their superiors?

One stick out. A SFC had an absolute screaming tirade in the face of the CSM over some perceived slight. All this in front of the entire unit.
Most unprofessional display I ever saw in 22 years.
Thought for sure she would have some form of disciplinary action taken against her, but alas no.

No; but when I was a 1SG i told my Bn co to take this job and shove it, I quit - and did.
You used to be able to get away with a bit more back then when you were over 20.

In 2008, I had an altercation with an E-7 when I was stationed at Camp Casey, Korea(I was an E-6). She tried to tell me that the eye glasses I was wearing at the time were unauthorized(I was wearing BCG's that had tinted lenses. I had gotten them when I was stationed at Fort Hood prior to this). I told her how I got the glasses, yet she kept pressing the issue, and I finally said to her:"If you want to talk to the Sergeant Major about this, we can do this right now. After you." It didn't get to that point. Reason being, she finally backed down, and walked away.

Yes. I grounded a helicopter for tail rotor blade damage. The damage exceeded tech data repair limits. I wrote it up and, since we didn’t have any spares, I closed it up and briefed nite shift. Unfortunately, grave shift didn’t get the word or decided to disregard my plan. So, on my to the shop, I saw my helicopter, prepped for flying, with what appears to be a half pound of Bondo plastered over the damaged area. I kinda got too Marine (I had joined the Air Force after my Marine tour) and went off at the shift leader. I, a SSgt (E-5) bellowing at a MSgt (E-7) about how that blade wasn’t going back in the air, etc., etc., etc. My Air Force side finally broke through and inside said “dumbass, you’re fubar’ed if you don’t shut up”. So I said that the helo was grounded and I’d make sure there wouldn’t be any doubt as to the blade’s serviceability. I won the argument but got scolded by the Chief.

While in basic ,we were getting a chance to see family as a special treat for Thanksgiving. The long phone lines to call home made me about 15 minutes late getting back to the barracks. As I approached ,my drill sergeant started yelling and pushing me towards the barracks.l knew I was wrong and let it slide.I caught it for about another 15 minutes to make a show for the rest of the platoon. The next day, while in formation,he informed me I would not be seeing my wife as I was going to be on detail.Besides,he would be entertaining my wife. I fell out of formation with all I had.The CO busted him back to E4 and l scrapped wax off the floor with a nickel. I got to enjoy a visit with my wife.

As a new WO1, I was feeling a lot of pressure and I felt like my CW2 supervisor was micro-managing me. I lost my temper during a particularity stressful moment and yelled at him. He sat there looking very surprised. After I calmed down I went in his office and apologized. He accepted my apology and we were fine after that. We're friends on Facebook 31 years later.

Yes once with an Ensign who I found lounging in CIC while he was on watch while my guys were tracking a large number of contacts. The Ensign was the CIC watch officer. When I walked in and found him I told him he was relieved and I took the watch. He raised his voice and so did I explaining I was the Leading Petty Officer and he was not performing his duties and then told him to get out of combat. He refused so I woke up the full lieutenant operations officer and he stormed up to CIC and told the dumb a** to get out of combat and not come back.
About a year later in the Philippines he made some remarks to after we both had been drinking and I responded (we were in civvies). At which point he threw a punch at me and he ended up on the ground. Nothing came from it and he left soon after.
