I had a E-6 in Hawaii that i told off. When I first got to the unit I told him i was the E-6 promotion list by da selection. He told me dont plan on going to the board anytime soon, you just reclassed. Then he asked how my NCOERs were. I told him 3/3 he said don’t expect that. He then tried to put me in a level 10 spot. I told him no that will hurt my career. He said I was going to the level 10 spot. I proceeded to tell him that is I was SSG whats his face in that spot i would call my brach and ask for a reassignment. If need to be I will go all the way up the NCO chanel. Even if I had to take it to CSM Chandler. I than told him trust me I can get an appointment with him, because I worked for a CSM that was battle buddies with him. After that we always banged heads.

There was a E-6 in the battery that was constantly missing 1st formation. In an attempt to correct this, he was required to stay in the barracks for a couple weeks. No UCMJ, just the correction. Turns out, he has a serious drinking issue. He would get a good drunk on, start banging on peoples doors and just being a general PIA drunk. One night he banged on my door demanding to let him in. I was starching my next day's BDU at the time, I had my iron and board out getting this done. I open the door and he starts screaming and carrying on in a drunken stupor. He and I didn't care for each other anyway. I thought he was a punk gang banger and he made a point several times to tell me he hated "white boys". He starts yelling at me and knocking my stuff down. He came at me when I yelled at him to knock it off, I had the iron in my hand and it went center mass in his chest. It burned him bad. He's hauled off in an ambulance, MP's are called, COC is there, and I'm thinking "O-shit!", I'm going to jail. Luckily, there was enough other guys that saw or heard what went down. The next morning while I'm on the carpet, it comes out that the E-6 BAC 3X's over limit, that COC had no idea about his drinking and that my status is pending the MP's investigation. In the end, nothing happened to me, it was ruled self defense/accident. The E-6 however, received an Article 15, busted to E-5 and moved to the next battery. It wasn't long before his drinking got him busted again. Last I heard he had went A.W.O.L. and was a E-1 and OTH discharged. I never saw it, but I was told that he had a scar impression of an iron on his chest. I don't like that I burned the guy, he had a problem. I wonder to this day if he's even still alive.

As a pretty fresh E3, I quickly made a name for myself, due to my previous mechanical experience. Our unit got absorbed into a SIGNIFICANTLY larger unit where I was placed under this 16yr E5. At first, because of the move/transition, it was all chaos, so nobody noticed this moron. After a few months, little things started to show. We were told about a ceremony 2 days prior. I decided to clean a pair of boots for it. Not wanting to wear wet boots for the practice ceremony, I wore my slightly dirty boots while the clean ones dried. After getting a councelling for wearing "unserviceable" (Ft. Jackson mud stained) boots to the practice, this NCO told me to buy new boots. I didn't have the money immediatley, so he told me to open a credit card to buy them. A few weeks later, I was helping a generator mechanic diagnose a generator that wouldn't start. I was a 91B (Wheeled vehicle mechanic), so this was a walk in the park for me. Eventually, we narrowed the problem down to a fuel delivery issue. This same E5 walks up to figure out what's going on and when I tell him that the generator isn't getting fuel, he looks confused. He then tries to explain that a generator doesn't require fuel because it's electrical... An E5 who has been a mechanic for his entire 16 years as an NCO DOESN'T KNOW THAT A GENERATOR REQUIRES FUEL!?!?! I looked at him and straight faced asked ""How the f**k are you an NCO?" Before I walked to our MotorNCO E6 to complain about this guy. Our Motor NCO was by far the best NCO I've ever seen, (Always took care of her soldiers, no matter what it took) and she asked him the same question before sending him somewhere else.
A month or two after that, this same E5 forgot to tell ANY of his soldiers about a training excercise. Needless to say, those who didn't get the information didn't show up in the correct place. He tried to counsel us all for it and we complained that it wasn't our fault. We did show up on time to the normal formation area where our 1sg redirected us.
Basically the year I was under this guy, I looked like a soup sandwich. As soon as I had another NCO, Suddenly I didn't seem like such a f**k up. Eventually, our commander caught wind of this guys CONSTANT screw ups and took his soldiers away from him. He became a runner from there on out. I just hope that moron doesn't get someone hurt or killed.

We were in Iraq back in 2004. As a Spec E-4, I was the Desk sergeant for the base MP Station. I had SGT E-5s and SSG E-6s as Pateol Supervisors who had to report to me for end of shift report clearing. Anyways, while on my shift, we had a returning airgroup (x1 Blackhawk and x1 Apache) coming back from a Lights Out mission. Unfortunately, the Apache had taken small arms fire and had some equipment malfunctioning. When they were landing, the Apache was actually above the blackhawk instead of landing next to it. Needless to say there was a crash involved. Unfortunately troops and armament were scattered around the area. I sent my Runner flying to the unit hooches kicking every door and getting the whole unit up and reporting in. He won also to brief the CMDR and 1SG too to brief them. Mind you, my small unit (<50 troops) had x3 Majors, and x1 MSGs, one was the 1SG and the other wishes he was. (Yeah, lots of power struggles in that unit)
As the soldiers kept filing into the MP "station", I'd go over the map and tell them their duties, (Triage the wounded, set up/secure scene border, mark protected area around armament for EOD, etc)
I had two base telephones, two SINCGARS (forgive my spelling), and two walkie talkies. I was on all of them, and still directing my troops as they came in. In retrospect, this was one my life's shining moments in multi-tasking response and control.
Anyways, one of the Majors was next door (last of my concerns at the moment). He walks into my office as I'm switching hands from a telephone on one ear, a SINCGAR radio in the other swapping for a walkie talkie, pausing to tell another arrival what his duties are, where he is to go, and to get the hell on his way - why is he still present in my office.
This Major stands in the doorway, yes, in the way, and asks what's going on. Which if he really wanted to know, he could just listen to what's being said. I hold up a finger to signal, Just a moment, sir, and keep talking on the phones, radio, and walkies.
A) The CSH (Combat Support Hospital) was notified and sending medics, B) The air traffic control tower was diverting any/all flights to other areas of the airfield, or another airfield altogether if they were far enough away, C) Base CMDRs office was notified, D) Fire dept was notified and responding, E) EOD was woken up and en route... I'm telling you, everyone who was needing to get there was being contacted.
In the middle of all of this, the major keeps standing in the doorway trying to interrupt my handling of the situation, which is both accurately described as SNAFU and FUBAR.
Finally, after another one of his "I'm-more-important-than-you-so-answer-my-question" interruptions, I put all phones, walkie, and radios down, flashed a "You're really starting to irritate me" looks, shouted "Shut the f*ck up!", picked up the walkie, radios, and telephones and resumed my handling of the situation. Mind you, this was in front of others too.... those responding still as well as my Runner.
Needless to say, all of my promo packets in that unit never saw the light of day....

All the time; that's why I got out of the Army. 2LT yells at me when I was attending BNOC. (I'm SGT) This guy's seriously across a parking lot. Yells at me "get over here now" I jog all the way over to where he is. Yells in my face "you don't salute officers where you're from". I reply "of course I do sir", gave him a LEFT handed salute. He salutes back and I can still see the puzzled look on his face. He didn't know what happened. I said have a great day sir as I walked away.
SFC we all hated because he was dumb as a rock and he was always messing with all of us. Dude was a bully best way to explain him. Tells me that he can tell me to F off and I have to deal with it because he out ranks me. I don't know what happened I lost it. I said "Scott if you pull that shit, it's game on and after you f'ing with me for the past 2 yrs, we're going to fight and we both know who's going to win". He left me alone after this...conversation. I got out of the army about a year later. Zero article 15, tons of extra duty for stupid stunts like these.

I had a discussion with my CO as an E3. I was given an Artical 15 never fully recovered from that one.

Back story before comment: we had a really big issue and went through four 1st Sergeants in two years. This caused Brigade Command to start asking questions and that included informal meetings with each soldier that had been in the company over a year. It got to be my turn and I said screw it and told them exactly what I thought because the Brigade Commander and CSM asked. A Napolean Syndrome having Sergeant First Class decided he didn't like my comments about his platoon and decided he was going to put his hands on me outside in the company PT area. As far as I know I was the last Specialist he ever grabbed and threw down in a violent manner. He took that ass beating as the Company XO looked on and I never had another problem with him after. He was moved to Battalion Staff and was gone in around a year later and I went on to the board and a few schools before my accident.
