Has anyone ever gone through the 25N AIT training for the National Guard?

It’s the same as the active duty training. 29 Weeks at Ft. Gordon. The first 3.5 months are foundations of networking, electronics, and learning the fundamentals of routing and switching equipment. The middle 2 months are voice over IP, transmission resource controllers, encryption/decryption, and server programming. Last 2 months are focused on putting it all together in a functional JNN. It was a decent course and I came he and got a great job very quickly.

It’s a good MOS with lots of room for professional advancement, and the opportunity to command a nice salary if you put the work into getting certifications in the industry.

I went through the training at Fort Gordon in 2007 and was the first soldier in Washington State to be MOSQ, though I have heard that with all the system changes since then the training has also changed. Before getting out I saw the job go from what I was trained for to several part of the job being done by General Dynamics and it felt like I became a equipment baby sitter rather than operator.
