There are several reasons why someone would fail an NCOES. Too many people attend an NCOES thinking that it will be a walk in the park and the reality does not kick in until they are face to face with the first exam. You should not worry about failing. Once an individual has mentally defeated themselves they will never see success. You need to have the mindset that you will do well on all given tests/tasks. Much success in school.

First, RallyPoint requires individuals to use their whole name, no initials or nicknames are allowed.

Secondly, yes, I have seen individuals fail/been kicked out for missing required items, failing the drill and ceremony/PRT/Land nav evaluations

SSG (Join to see) - Why "thank heavens"? Its a pretty important basic skill that everyone, especially NCOs, should be proficient at. Can't always just rely on technology.

SSG (Join to see) - thank heavens??? c mon man - what kind of leader cannot utilize something so basic as a map and protractor? it will never fail you if YOU know how to use it - GPS, BFT, all require a battery or power source, and once that goes, the contingency is to be able to get from point A to point B utilizing basic skills

Absolutley You can fail Drill or Ceremony or even Leading PRT that can get you sent home you do have a second chance to pass them.

Also honor code violations Cheating, Plagrisim will get you sent home.

My best advice is go to the BLC website and pull the curriculum make sure you understand PRT and D&C also you will write a lot of papers in APA format. You will present classes and training classes alike.

If you have a good NCO they will make sure you are prepared and can execute the tasks before going inorder to set you up for success.

Feel free to contact me if you need more specifics or questions always happy to answer questions.
