I didn't start geocaching until after I got home from BAF, but I see on the map there have been caches placed on base. Any good finds?

I have gotten a few at "bases" in Iraq, UAE and Lebanon. Generally though, unless they are grandfathered caches, there arent many on US bases since they have to be in public areas (by geocaching rules).

CDR Laurel Meadows - Geocaches are only allowed on military installations by very limit exception, where most people couldn't access them otherwise (Iraq, Afghanistan, Kuwait, etc...). I've found 81 geocaches on military installations (Afghanistan 58 - Kuwait 20 - Iraq 2 - Uzbekistan 1)

Per GC reqs, caches are not supposed to placed in areas that are not open to the public. For most AF installations, they are prohibited. So I placed one outside the gate of Lackland AFB, with permission, which is checked on daily by the security forces OIC, who happens to also be a cacher. Now overseas, i.e. combat locations, Camp Victory was a cornucopia of caches, but I only trekked along, never found them. Which I would have started sooner.
