Just wondering. I don't like bills but I also don't like owing anything to any place (debt free for twenty plus years now). I know they suspended sending bills because of the COVID situation but I thought they were suppose to start sending them in January. I went by the pay window at my V. A. Center a couple months ago and it had a number to call. I called and waited on hold forever it seemed so I could pay the bill up to that date. That has been at least three months. Last time I called I hung up after waiting for over a half hour. I have other things to do with my time that sit on hold.

I read today that the VA will be suspending debt collections until September 2021.
I read that bills will go out, but the policy will include medical co-pays.
Hope this helps out.

VA suspends debt collections through September 2021
VA officials had stopped collecting the money last spring, but were allowed to resume at the start of this year.

I have never heard of the VA billing for anything. I have only heard that (for those authorized care) you have to list any other insurance you have so that they can offset costs associated with care. Sorry, just odd to me.

Understood. It makes sense to want to stay caught up. Again, I still have never heard of charges at all for the Pharmacy either. That too should be a deductible that the VA can collect from your insurance. I would inquire, not a lot of. Obey, but if you are authorized VA care you should not have to come out of pocket. I may be wrong but I would ask. Cpl Vic Burk

CSM Darieus ZaGara - The primary insurance also has a co-pay for meds in most cases. The VA will submit to private insurance, but somebody is going to pay the co-pay and it is probably the one getting the meds.

CSM Darieus ZaGara - My insurance deductible per prescription is $15.00. The V. A. only charges $9.00 for each so it doesn't reach deductible. Nine bucks isn't going to kill me! The only reason I even have the private insurance is so my wife can have coverage. Before she can be covered I have to be and that cost us almost $400.00 per month for the two of us.
