Has anyone had a VA disability review when their 5 year mark is coming up? What can I expect during my video conference next week?

Nope. I've been out for 11 years and never knew there was such a thing.

SrA John Monette as I stated, I've been out 11 years. I've never had my rating adjusted until this last May, when I went from 50% to 80%.

SrA John Monette - My wife has been going through my medical records, she has already found 3 items that I never knew I was diagnosed with (or don't remember), plus I was approved under the Burn Pit and Sand Storm for probable conditions that I've been battling, but the VA wouldn't recognize until now.

SPC Cody Verba - I have so much back and forth with me, my pharmacist, and my neurologist. Plus I have an app that I track my migraines on. Some of my meds are "supposed" to prevent or lessen the occurrence and severity. Can't smoke pot since I'm a federal employee. They got me a couple years ago when they reduced the rating I had for a broken ankle with hardware. I never got any notice about an appointment and argued that. Didn't help though.

The gist behind the review is to assess your health, and your rating separately. There are many conditions that are generally considered to improve over time, service connected or not. If you have degenerative issues they will not reassess unless they did not rate you maximum for that issue, in which case you may gain instead of lose ratings. Anything is possible. Just be honest and answer there questions so that they can help you.

No. COVID brought about telemeds. Only advice there is don't pick boogers if you're unsure they are online.
