Has anyone had any luck with the Army Review Board?

I'm currently in the process of going back in the army with a RE 3 code, as some may know. My recruiter suggested to try and submit the paperwork while we wait for the waiver process to play out. Has anyone actually had any luck with the review board? If so how long did it take? I read online that they are back logged about 26,000 cases.

You need to be aware that the review board will do nothing if you can't demonstrate that the RE-3 code was in error in some fashion. If the code was in anyway reasonable at the time your discharge, you are realistically out of luck.

Did you serve to the end of your enlistment or were you administratively discharged? The AR is 635-200 and Chapter 13 is the pertinent section. I can't find anything that says they need to extend an enlistment for a civilian trial, but I was S1 not JAG. I can tell you that Chapter 13 gives a lot of leeway to the Commanders

My brother received a general. Undesirable. His was kicked out after 30 months as a PFC. He filed an appeal to a local judge in California and got it reversed. In fact he went to work for the navy as a GS 9 for the Seabees. He was a wireman in 3rd AD

It was for a 12c I believe. Commission of a serious offense - that mind you CPT could not be proven. The ADA dismisses all the charges. From my understanding of you are arrested by civilian police the army has to wait for a civilian disposition. Unless I was told wrong?CPT Lawrence Cable

And no, my ETS date would have been June 2015 but I was discharged July 2014 when the civilian disposition was announced in December of 2014. CPT Lawrence Cable

If you have your proof (paper work) and just playing the waiting Game why not file it no way it can hurt? No matter how back logged the Review board is they allot of time are simply waiting for other information to make a decision. Be proactive file and move on.

I looked over that regulation too to bottom over the last two years. It’s just way to much for my little brain to comprehend if we are being honest SFC Robert Walton

PFC Michael Jansons - Okay well if all you have told us is up to snuff ( I have no reason to believe it is not) I would file the paper work. It is worth a try anyway. Things some times get messy and mistakes are made No one can file for you take the time and do it, just do it. I can tell you years and years from now you will wish you did just for you own sake.

I’ve already submitted the paper work to the board. We will see what happens. I was just curious if anyone had success with it. SFC Robert Walton

Yea sure for a PT failure. Mines for a JKQ which is commission of a serious offense- mind you I was never convicted in civilian court like army regulation says you have to be. The ADA found me not guilty and dismissed all the charges for lack of evidence.
