Has anyone heard about any religious or medical exemptions getting approved yet? I haven't seen any news about any of them getting approved or rejected. We're coming up on the vaccine mandate deadlines fast:
Air Force (Active): Nov. 2
Navy and Marines (Active): Nov. 28
Air Force (RC, NG): Dec. 2
Army (Active): Dec. 15
Navy and Marines (RC): Dec. 28
Army (RC, NG): Jun. 30, 2022

Those aren't mandates for individuals as far as I understand - those are the NLT dates that each one has to report the status of those vaccinated or not vaccinated - and if not vaccinated the status on that.

As far as I've heard, I don't think anyone is getting an exemption. If someone hasn't ever filed for an exemption (either exemption) prior to this one, then they probably aren't getting an exemption for this one. Also many major religious institutions and their leaders are supporting the vaccine on moral grounds to save lives.

Medical exemptions may be given to those with serious health concerns that are backed by medical professionals - like if one had adverse reactions to previous vaccines or allergies to the ingredients. Even IF someone gets an exemption they could potentially be temporary. Pregnant SMs could delay until after their pregnancy is over but it's been recommended for pregnant people to get it.

It is fairly easy to find the stats on religious exemptions; ZERO granted out of some twelve to sixteen thousand plus.

I have not been able to find any stats one way or the other on medical exemptions. There are a few sources that say that it is possible to get them, but if any have been granted at all nobody is saying so; something that seems like it would be out there if it had happened.

I do recall that congress mandated exemptions for themselves and their staff, no medical or religious reason needed because the mandates don't apply to them. I would assume that the uppermost levels of the military enjoy this immunity. If they have any ethics/morals they will not take advantage of it if they are enforcing it on the troops, but I don't reallly hold out any hopes...

And of course, despite the actual statistics, the Usual Suspects are claiming only right wingers, republicans and other Literally Hitlers are against the mandate. Make of it what you will. I continue to try to dig out stats on medical exemptions.

SPC Stiv ChenRobbins - 2 months ago there wasn't much on "stats' for exemptions - that's when this was posted.

Congress didn't mandate an exemption - ffs I posted about this multiple times. Pelosi said it's up to the Capitol physician to mandate the vaccine like he mandated mask wearing. She can't mandate anything for the House nor can anyone mandate anything for all of Congress other than the physician Capitol for entering the Capitol.

What immunity? You really think that the "uppermost levels" of the DoD haven't gotten the vaccine? Lol ok.

No one said "only" the MAGA cult or conservatives are against the mandate. That's the majority of people. So...yeah. Have the day you deserve.

SFC (Join to see) - Souurce for your statement that the majority are conservatives or whatever other snide name-calling you want to use for them?
Last I checked, it was nowhere near that one-sided, but then I have not looked at the stat in a couple months, and I know they have changed and been memory holed a few times over this two weeks to flatten the curve...
