Has anyone heard anything about TERA for FY17 for the USMC? Scuttlebutt was the message would be out in July or August.

Spoke with my monitor and some manpower folks when they came to the east coast for the roadshow. It does not look good. The word I got was TERA is going to be extremely limited due to the fact that the Corps lost more than intended in the drawdown. A specific example given to me was TERA in lieu of a PEB for a senior Marine with the time on the books. Sad news lads; it looks like one more enlistment for those of us at 15+.

You will still have a "favorable" recommendation if you have been passed over once.

Did they say why your package was denied? And did you have a "P"? Just wondering what they're looking for as far as a favorable recommendation.

HQMC didn't tell me why. They told me monitor would know but haven't talked to him. I've got 2 'P's so I'm guessing it had to do with manpower more than anything else. I'm hearing some word that now it's only being approved for people getting out for medical reasons.
