Is a online bachelor's degree valid for Army OCS?

As long as a university is ACES accredited that Bachelors Degree will suffice whether online or traditional.... FYI, the Army National Guard (NY) will enlist you into the OCS program with 60 credits where you do a years worth of weekend drills at OCS with two weeks at the beginning and two weeks at the end. Upon graduation / commissioning you will have to have 90 credits and a Bachelors Degree before you can be promoted to captain. The whole time you attend OCS you will be paid at the SGT/E5 rate.

I suspect that a degree from that university is sufficient, but an Army recruiter will need to verify that for you. The OCS requirements say that you need a four-year degree. I didn't see any further specified characteristics of the degree (within a specific academic discipline) or the university (must have a specific type of accreditation). Bellevue is regionally accredited by the Higher Learning Commission, so I suspect the modality of the degree (online) is immaterial.

And do you want a full 20-30 ur career, or do you want o do a single tour, then go civilian, whether civil SVC or industry at all, if you can say? And, what outside work types thus far? Degree related? Unrelated?

I need more info to suggest more so far as I'd be able, for you, OK? High school AP crests, GPA, grades, recommends? Assocs same? Bach same? STEM major? Non-STEM? Clinical? Nonclinical? What are your obvjecitves? Would you consider warrant? What wvcs have you looked at? Do you as I've asked, have flight interests? Eo a detailed bio sketch, hobbies, reading interests, sports, !martial arts of any, to give !e some insight into your mind, so far as you might care to relate, the more info you send in, the more I and others here can suggest, OK?

Look through this, I think you'd find it useful, it doesn't cover everything, however, it does cover the five main OCS programs...it doesn't cover Army WOCS for warrants, esp the Army high school to flight school program for rotary wing flight, which if you have any flight motivations, whether as pilot, or as Navy/WSO, back seated, for helicopters, I'd def look at...there are also what are termed OIS indoc programs, as opposed to OCS programs, OIS are typically direct commission, all svcs have them, gently for clinical, law, clergy, however, also, there's the BOTC of the NOAA Commissioned Corps, and also the OIS programs where USPHS Commissioned Coprs personnel attend, not just clinical, also hlth info mgmt (HIM), engnrs, sevel other ancillary fields....

Concur with CPT(P) Engel - if the school is accredited regionally, then it is an acceptable degree. I can vouch for many online schools, those are harder than regular schools (requiring much more work for each person) than if you sat in a class for 40 hours or more for a class instruction.
